I was back in the store today and they still had some of these but the second part of the name started with Al. Meant to write it down but was in a hurry. So the first part is correct but not the brazil part as it starts with al.

He is the smallest in the tank so im hoping will get used to his tankmates by the time he gets bigger.

My Oscar seems a bit lost without him. I always heard oscars were aggressive but mine has never shown any. He always used to swim around with my severum as if they were best of mates. I have lost little fish in the past but its different when its one of the bigger ones.

He is on his side now at the bottom struggling. What is best way to put him out his misery. It's gonna be no use and don't want him suffering. Read about clove oils but don't have any.

Worse today. His eyes look swollen. Think could be dropsy. I have quarantine him and treating with anti bacterial meds. See how he goes but I have a feeling if keeps getting worse I may have to put him out his misery

I have 4 of them. About 3 to 4 inches. All other fish are fine. Had this setup for over a year so just a bit puzzled Tried peas but does not seem to be interested

I use liquid tests. Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 30 Tank is 450ltr. Have a full size Oscar, Pleco, Convict, Smaller Severum. Had them all over a year now. Nothing new added recently although I did feed frozen bloodworm a couple a days ago which I dont usually do.

Still looks bloated although he does seem to be moving about a bit more. He appears to be breathing a bit faster than normal.

Is it fresh prawns. And what kind of peas. Definently seems more active now but does not seem hungry.

Seems to be out a bit more today and my severum has went from stalking him to just chasing him occasionly. What kind of foods are good for him as he did not seem overly excited about flakes and pellets.

Yeah they are in that tank. Plenty of rocks and plants.

Ah ok will do. So will the other fish eventually get bored of him and just leave him alone. They never bother with each other

Just bought a red oscar today and added to my tank. Currently I have a large green Severum. Small Blue Acara and small Sajica as well as some silver dollars. Soon as I added him my severum gave chase and nudged him bit. Then he left him alone but every so often seems to chase him again...

Think will give them a try then. Any others that you can think off that would be ok?

Went to get some fish and changed my mind when got there and had a look. Going back tomorrow. Definently wanting the oscar and the green severum which is a decent size. Wondering if I left the Jack Dempsey and convicts would Sajica and Blue Acara be ok to add as well as any other similar...

I will have a look when I get there. Will they all be ok together if I am getting them all together or do you think I should leave out any of them.

Just called lfs in sunderland and they have small oscars. Green severums. Convicts. And jack dempseys about 1 to 2 inches. Should get them all or leave out the convicts or jd. And are green severums ok.

Figured on a quite big one if would be ok with the above mentioned.

Just called a few of my local fish stores. They have convicts. Oscars which they said different kinds including albinos. And 1 severum. All she said was he was a yellowish pale colour with red eyes. Any idea if that type is ok.

So I should be ok with an Oscar. Convict. Rtbs and severum as long as its not a red spot one. No experience with them so will have a good look on the web so that I know how to tell the difference when I go to buy them.

I may just offload the lot then. Probably move the angels to a 125ltr tank though as they are a pair and dont really want to give them up.

Bala Sharks are about 8 inches at the moment and I have 2 full size adult angels.
