Update: Pics taken yesterday. Oscar is back to normal and regrowing finnage. Oliver's fungus is gone and finrot is healing. Both were returned to their respective tanks today.

The fish are doing well! Oliver's rot seems to have stopped and I'm not seeing anymore fungus/the fungus that he had! He's perked up a lot. Oscar's looking great, his Maracyn 1 treatment ended today and I started his Maracyn 2 treatment 2 days ago... he's doing excellent. His fins are growing...

Gave Oliver a salt bath, then put him in with the Maracyn/Fungus Eliminator combo. Oscar's looking good- he ate 4 pellets today- first time he has eaten since he got sick!

Ok got the salt bath prepping and put the fungal med along with the Maracyn in Oliver's container. There's no heater in Oliver's makeshift hospital "bowl" but I've been keeping a lamp on it 24/7 and the temp has been hovering around 77 degrees.... Oscar on the other hand is looking fantastic...

Started treating the 11th. Picking up Maracyn 2 tomorrow.

Oliver's doing fine, no change in him at all, acting totally normal. Started him on Maracyn so he heals quickly. Oscar's looking up as well. Still no appetite even when I soaked his pellets in garlic but he seems much more attentive. :)

Thank you. :) Today started off... not so great, but I just watched him take a breath of air and then do one lap around the bowl, which was the first time he's actually seemed a little like himself since he got sick! The water level was about 1/2 a gallon but I lowered it as much as I could do...

Today was a little better- Oscar was actually "sitting" upright instead of on his side, and he seemed a little interested in what is going on around him. I'm seeing a little fin regrowth in his tail too, which was a pleasant surprise.. Tested water a few weeks ago and everything was normal but...

Well a good update today. He can actually sit upright at the bottom of the bowl, and shows a little interest in what's around him! Keeping fingers crossed but prepared for the worst...

He's wedged himself between the filter and the wall of the bowl and is almost upside down again, breathing heavily. I can't believe nothing has really worked so far- I see little ups but more downs! :( Rushes up for air but is letting himself just drop back to the floor again.... No appetite...

Sure no problem. I'll stop the addition of Melafix and try to get to the LFS asap for Maracyn 2. Symptoms: -Fin rot? Don't know if that is an after effect or the root problem Has lost 1/4 of tail finnage and small sections of dorsal and anal fin -Lethargy -Laying on the bottom of bowl at all...

I'll see if I can pick up some Maracyn 2 to use with my Maracyn. I do a 100% water change before I do any dosings of anything, and the dips are being done in a different container. I dunno I've used Melafix many times before on my other betta and it never caused a problem.

Confused about the Hole in the Head part, never showed signs of that illness.. Stool, when I was feeding him (currently fasting him) was normal, basically the same color as his pellets. Keeping vigilant watch over him, will keep the thread UTD.
