I do not know if the black tetra is a he or a she but named it george when my dad got it.... its kind of a habit to call it a he since its name is george..... The two black tetras in the tank don't seem skittish and swim with the angels when they swim by... I will consider getting them another...

im sorry... i meant George, my black skirt tetra in my tank who is 6yrs old.... he has been through hell and is the fish who most deserves the change...

Right side closeup Tempestuousfury: thanks, I think the fish like it a lot especially the black tetra whose been through a lot of bad stuff... The lights are 6500k 130 watts.... that is 2.36 watts/gallon so I don't think that would be too much... maybe my plants are just shiny :D

Are hamilton power compacts lights any good.... they are $9.99 for a 65 watt on ebay which is why I was wondering if they are good since they are twice as cheap as any other one. Thanks Don

I don't know of any 2.5 gallon heater but I'm sure you could use a 25 watt 5 gallon heater... most are only 6" long so they should fit the tank hope I could help Don

Could I put 2 65 watt power compact lights on a workhorse 5 ballast.. It says I can put 2 55 watt lights on there but nothing about 65 watt lights... Any help would be appreciated. Don

My bro also has two rainbow sharks and those are doing really well. What do u mean the tetras getting killed?!?!?One gourami is still in there and doing fine with other fish..He just didnt do good with another male gourami(which we thought was a female.)

You dont want to get two male Gouramis..My bro had two (The petstore told him one was a female)and one of the males died because of the other one... He had some neons in there and they did well..so did some black tetras..And Hatchetfish worked pretty good they just stay at the top and dont get...

There is this huge Bullfrog in our goldfish pond(3000 Gal.)and my dad feeds it by putting chunks of canned dogfood on a fishing line(There is a knot on the end of the line so the food stays on).He dangles the line(which is connected to a pole) in front of the frog and the frog gobbles it up.. :P...

The fish where the bass came from are community fish..i just wanted to put some other fish in the ten gallon with the bass..what about a gourami..?!?
