Ten Gallon

Hi, i am new to tropical fish and i was wondering what type and how many fish i should put in my ten gallon aquarium???Thanks for any help!

10g Tropical Community Tank

#1 Peppered Cory Cat
#2 Dwarf Gourami
#2 Dwarf Otocinclus
#2 Guppy
#1 Poppendetta Furcarta
#1 Large Swordtail Fry

That's what I keep in my 10gal tank, to give you an idea. I'm gonna change it though to:

#3 Peppered Corydoras
#2 Dwarf Gourami
#2 Dwarf Otocinclus
#3 Guppy
#1 Poppendetta Furcarta

If you want to stock up a 10gal you have to look at the fish that are small in size and don't need to much room to swim around in.
What type of fish do you want to keep in a 10gal?

A few cardinal tetras mixed in with rummy-nose tetras are nice too.
Add a few amano shrimp for algae cleanup if you don't have space for and an Oto or 2.

It's really based on what kind of fish you like.
A standard 10 gallon would allow for about 15" of fish (based on volume) as a rough guide. If you stay within that number you should fine.

Ok! Thanks a bunch..I think i might put some cardinal tetras or rummy nose..dont know how many..and a gourami for sure..i need something to get the food remains off the bottom..thanks again for your help

Cardinals get fairly big.

How about 1 Dwarf Gourami, 6 Rummy Noses, and 4 Cories?

couple of guppies platys and mollies are gd for small tanks, i got them cos i breed them so got loads

If you like the look of the Cardinal Tetra, go for the regular Neon Tetra. They are smaller so you could get more. I am really happy with how my 10g looks

Oh i forgot to mention that i already have a baby bass in there thats about an inch long..he was in my bro's fifty five gallon but ate his neons so i was just going to put a few more aggresive fish in there...sorry i didnt mention that before..

More aggressive fish in which - the 10g or the other tank the bass came from? I can't think of any aggressive fish that would go well in a 10g

The fish where the bass came from are community fish..i just wanted to put some other fish in the ten gallon with the bass..what about a gourami..?!?

i dont know a whole lot about goumais but i do know that they r a little slower fish and a little bit more expensive then some other fish, and from what i know about bass from being a fisherman i would say that a gourmai is not a good idea because bass have big mouths on them, and even tho that bass isnt very big rite now and a gourmai might live fine with him for a little bit, but once he gets big enough that the goumai can fit n his mouth he will almost most deffinitly eat him. sorry if i ruined ur plans for getting a gourmai
