Nope, she looks normal other than the fact that she's kind of fat and quite inactive. I'll try and get you a better picture but my camera is pretty crappy. I did that water change, raised the temp to 77 and haven't fed her. I'll give a pea tomorrow and see if that helps. :(

Umm.. Iris is a female betta. :blush: But thanks I'll be sure to fast her. I hope it's not dropsy... :sad: The water stats I have are: Ammonia: 0 - 0.25 Ph: 7 Temp: 75 I have no way of finding the nitrites/nitrates and stuff like that, sorry. =(

I recently got Iris and my three other female bettas. I've set them up in a filtered, heated and cycled ten gallon tank. My other three bettas have all been fine but Iris looks sick. She looks really bloated, is relatively inactive and sometimes it looks like her body is too heavy and sinks. I...

Well, today while my mom was picking up some photos at wal-mart, I went over to the fish departement and noticed a plant-of-the-month sign. This months plant is an aqua christmas tree! I thought it was so cute! If christmas wasn't over, I would buy one for my fish and decorate it. :hyper:

Well, the plants on the side with the flourescent lightbulb are doing fine and growing new leaves near the top. The one on "the dark side" is losing its leaves. I'm going to move it.

I keep my betta in with a few female guppies. He was even in with a few young males at one point but he is quite the gentle betta. So it is possible to keep bettas with guppies but it really depends on the personnalities of all your fish.
