Help Me Decide!

ok so i went betta shopping today for my first ever betta, and came home empty handed.

why?


because i couldnt decided between two fish. i got so stressed i walked away but am going back tomorrow after ive slept on it.


the two 'finalists' were both so beautiful.
1 was a tan/caramel colour with a black face (looked like he was wearing a mask) he was so hyper and flaring at anything that passed the tank, yet the guppys and platys he was in with he left alone!

number 2 was an absolutly gorgeous pink and white beauty with red splatters over his tail and mid body. he seemed a little more calm but when he flared the flary bit was red and black. absolutly stunning.


i cant take them both sadly so need to pick one.

Decisions decisions From what you've described I'd go for the second one but that's because you mentioned pink lol

I like the sound of the tan/caramel one personally. If he looks like he has a mask on you could call him Phantom ( of the Operaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! ) or Zorro!!

I recently saw a beautiful feisty pale cream/flesh coloured betta in an LFS, no markings whatsoever, just a solid pale all over, but his beard under the chin....was black!!!! If ever a fish needs to be called Blackbeard it's that one !

I really hate my mother sometimes. She has put her foot down with a firm hand and banned me from having any more tanks ( despite me having a spare 5 gallon and a place to put it ) . I would have bought him on the spot had she allowed it.

I have to agree with number one. His colour sounds amazing and he seems to have a great personality. But it's your choice!

2. Sounds similar in some ways to my past betta, Sunny.

I would go for either and normally wouldn't try to influence you towards one or the other.... but i know that is not what you are looking for.

The second one strikes a cord with me..... and I actually chose Sunny over a tan/caramel colored betta (no mask though) with a clear beard. So your situating is all too familiar to me

This was Sunny (so you can see if your situation pertains to mine or if I am completely off). I don't know if this is what you are describing or not, but I picture it similar.

Nobody else's opinion should matter though. You'll make the decision based on what you really want.

ohhhh remz that is so similar to number two fish (except number two fosh has a little more pink)


oh i still dont know what to go for this morning, i half hope the decision is made for me (ie one of the fish have already been bought before i get there today)

See being a girlie girl if it were just up to me I'd go with pink.
But hubby would choose anything before pink LOL

see kia thats the thing, i love pink (even my hair is pink lol!) but i first fell for the betta with the black mask. then my boyfriend spotted the pink one and he fell for that one, it is a charmer and elegant, yet the black mask one is so fiesty and full of energy!


cant get to the shop today as my son is ill, but my boyfriend is gonna be home tomorrow so i can go then.
knowing my luck they will both be gone then!!
