Bettas with gouramis, and even more so, paradise fish, are not a good combination. They are too similar, so you'll get males of one species harassing females of another, you'll get fighting, attacks, etc. So with other labyrinths - I would suggest no.
Females can mix in a community with fish like tetras and guppies but you need to be very, very careful and watch them closely. I think the best way to say it is that some females are bitches. They have similar temperaments to the males, beat up the other females, other fish in the tank, etc. Some of them need to be kept alone.
Males are not community fish due to the long fins which will be nipped by anything that is drawn by this like tetras. They can be kept with female guppies provided their colours are dull and their tails small. Male guppies are a no no because they may mistake the guppy for another betta and if a betta fights a guppy, the guppy will always lose.
Tankmates for females - anything suitably sized that is not nippy and that is capable of looking after itself ie a large platy or molly, female guppies, or robust tetras. Tankmates for males need to be chosen very carefully and should generally be either quiet, inactive fish that will not bother the betta, or bottom dwellers - note that some males still will not tolerate tank mates, even if they never interact with him.
