I think your not suposed 2 feed them for the 1st 24hours and also keep the lights off.. and fish can got for days/weeks without food so dont worry.. :)

your tank isnt too small for a bristlenose plec.. need atleast 20g(70l) so your alryt..

do 30-40% and i put the dechlorinater in the water whilst its in the bucket before its in the tank but i doubt it will make much of a difference as long as you put it in straight away.. :good:

i dont really no tbh, maybe someone else might no but ammonia is produced from fish waste so you dont have enough bacteria in the tank to cope with the amount of ammonia.. im fairly new to all of this too so im still learning also.. :)

you should be doing a water change more than once every 2 weeks (atleast once a week) but maybe you should do one every other day for a week or so... you will see the ammonia level drop and the nitrite go up and then back down when the bacteria processes it in to nitrate its all about how much...

well ammonia is toxic so harms your fish! i guess a water change may help a little bit..

well the clown loaches r too big for a 20g 2 start with if there neon tetras etc.. they r suposed 2 be in schools, i.e 6 or more a good algea eater is a bristlenose plec..

Taking in to consideration of what people have said what about:.. 3 Black mollies (1M and 2F) 5 black corys 2 dwarf gouramis (1M and 1F) 1 bristlenose 6 tetras So thats 17 fish, Thats not loads too many isit? 40% water change once or twice a week and good areation and filter!? :)

sterba's cory cats arn't shoaling (well not from the research i've got) Ive had clown loaches in there before and they were 5-7cm, also from the research ive got they only grow to 15cm (well from the research i've got) and i no the pleco can get large but would take a long time to get to that...
