I have an angel in with bolivian Rams as well as gold rams Rummy nose tetra and Harlequins. I did have 4 angels but my remaining angel killed his three friends and has bitten the tails on some of my harlequins. However he does get along fine with the rams and the rummy nose tetra.

Yes with my experience with Tiger barbs they are best to be kept in a same species tank. They are little terrors and are likely to pick on the other fish.

yeah you have to be so careful on background choices coz they can look real tacky but when done right look great :) its good your takeing your time o find the right one :)
