Angelfish + Barbs?

Just wondering if angelfish would be compatible with barbs such as rosie barbs? The reason i ask is that i added some pearl gouramis a while back and their whiskers kept being bitten by the barbs and i had to take them back to the LFS.

Would the same happen to the angelfish whiskers or are they a lot more hardy?

i've kept angels with tiger barbs, no problems about that. i'm not too sure able rosy barbs though, however angels are more hardy then gouramis so to speak

Should be ok so long as you keep 6-8 of the barbs so they argue amongst themselves instead of involving the Angelfish.

Rosie barbs are the more placid of the barbs so they should be fine.

I'd only ever keep them with cherry barbs. That's what I'm doing now.

Barbs should not be kept with fish that have long flowing fins. They are nippy fish at the best of times and you will only stress your Angels out if you have them in there with them. If they bothered your gouramis then they will do the same with the Angels.

Barbs are nice with Barbs.....

I would suggest Blue German Rams, cory cats and a pleco and that is about it.
