My Gourami has started nibbling bits of plant off and placing them carefully at thetop of one cormer of the tank. Its also defending this area very aggressively. Just wondering if its making a nest?? Lisaxx

Last time I used it (over 2 yrs ago) it took more than a week for the water to clear. During that time my bogwood turned blue and all my plants died. Try using carbon in your filter cause that removes dyes. If you don't have fish in the tank then I'd take all the water out and start again. Lisaxx

Sounds like Methylene Blue to me :unsure: . I used to use this alot years ago but now I wouldn't touch it! It kills most plants and is stressful to the fish. It also (I've been told) removes most of the bacteria, good and bad, from your tank. Lisaxx

Hiya, just wondering if I need to add another bulb to my tank. I currently have a single 38w 42" tube to light my 4ft tank. I sometimes wonder if I could do with another tube as it doesn't seem as bright as other tanks I've seen. Thoughts??? Lisaxx
