I have never used this form of treatment for Ich so I couldn't tell you. I'm sure if you follow the instructions it will be fine :) If the Ich continues after treatment then use the more common forms of treatment as listed in the a-z of treatments in this section :)

Since you've not added anything to your tank I would really doubt that it is whirling disease as the parasite would need a way of getting into the tank. It sounds more like swim bladder tbh I would treat the fish as if it had swim bladder and see how that works.

With cory's I would stick with the sand as rougher substrates can cut them as they root around the substrate. When I had a sand in my tank I did put an area of gravel on one side as I wanted it to look like a shoreline....Cory's and plec soon sorted that out it will all eventually get mixed up...

Yeah I knew that I wouldn't be able to put angels in I was just posting that question in false hope lol. I pinched some water from my LFS tanks so hopefully that helps with the cycle.

Whitespots generally mean whitespot. What substrate do you have? The spots may well be grains of sand or calcium deposits. There's a pinned topic on whitespot in the fish emergency section which will tell you all you need to know about it but I tend to find that Interpet no.6 whitespot works...

You need to keep the heater on they are tropical fish and need warm water to live. Just follow the instructions of your whitespot treatment, it will tell you when you can next do a water change, try not to meddle too much with the tank and let the medication do it's thing.

How far into the treatment are you with the whitespot? It depends on the medicine whether or not you can treat the tank with multiple treatments you need to read the instructions.

I dont know if wilder means an internal or exteral bacterial infection or whether it would be an good idea to treat the tank with some anti bacterial meds just incase anyother fish become infected.

This has me flumoxed I do not know how breeding affects fish negatively. In my experience an open mouthed dead fish means it was deprived of oxygen before death or a parasitic infection but that isn't necesarilly the case in your instance. Is the tank well oxygenated? Wilder will be around...

What type of substrate do you have? Whta other fish do you have i the tank? What is the size of the tank? How long has the tank been established for? Is the affected fish showing any sign of illness except for the ones you have described? Is he paler? Darker? Is he eating? Are his barbels...

remember that whitespot has a life cycle so just because the spots are gone it does not mean the white spot has been eradicated from that water. Keep the whitepot treatment going according to the instructions. Goodluck!!

What do the white marks look like? are they fluffy? slimey looking? how large are they? Treat the tank for whitespot first as the parasite will affect and kill your other fish. Remember that clown loaches are scaleless fish so may need a half dose of whitespot treatment depending on which one...
