Clown Loaches With Ich Treating With Myxazin?

I have an outbreak of ich in my tank. The worst affected fish are the clown loaches. I also have two (so far) unaffected juvenile Angel fish and six tetras who are starting to show the effects. It has been a while since I've had a tank with ich so I went to the fish shop for advice and they...

    Ridich+ - Dosage Question

I have never used this form of treatment for Ich so I couldn't tell you. I'm sure if you follow the instructions it will be fine :) If the Ich continues after treatment then use the more common forms of treatment as listed in the a-z of treatments in this section :)

    Spirally Swimming Fish

Since you've not added anything to your tank I would really doubt that it is whirling disease as the parasite would need a way of getting into the tank. It sounds more like swim bladder tbh I would treat the fish as if it had swim bladder and see how that works.

Hey People Need A Little Advice Please

You did not allow your fish tank to properly cycle before adding fish which is why they died. You are effectively doing a Fish-in cycle. You should read this article http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=224306 it will let you know everything you need to know to minimise the stress to...

    Decorations

With cory's I would stick with the sand as rougher substrates can cut them as they root around the substrate. When I had a sand in my tank I did put an area of gravel on one side as I wanted it to look like a shoreline....Cory's and plec soon sorted that out it will all eventually get mixed up...

Zebra Danios And The British Heart Foundation

Has anyone seen the advert for the British heart foundation where they tell you that they need funding to look at how the zebra danio can repair it's heart and how they can use that for heart treatment in humans. I never knew that they could do this, kinda nice that such a small fish can bring...

    How To Store Old Bogwood

When I took out my bogwood it dried out....eventually but it didn't crack. In saying that it was mopani and that's quite a hardwood. Just keep it in a cupboard away from solvents and cleaners and it will be fine. But to be sure you should boil the bogwood before you stick back in a tank to get...

    I'm Back!

That's what my partner said but I'd like a shoal of tetra and a pair of rams which won't be possible with angels.

    I'm Back!

Yeah I knew that I wouldn't be able to put angels in I was just posting that question in false hope lol. I pinched some water from my LFS tanks so hopefully that helps with the cycle.

    I'm Back!

So after my beautiful 4 foot freshwater tank cracked during a house move last year I decided to leave the wonderful world of fish keeping due to lack of funds and other factors. Well an...ahem...accidental trip to my LFS today totally changed that and I cam home with a Fluval Roma 90. This is...

    My Vision 260L Setup

I like your stocking I think cories are wonderful I'm thinking of getting some for my tank. The only things I would recommend is getting some more taller plants. If you're not into real plants then get some silk plants. It will balance the tank out a bit more as it looks a bit low and...

    Kuhlii Loaches May Have Whitespot!

Whitespots generally mean whitespot. What substrate do you have? The spots may well be grains of sand or calcium deposits. There's a pinned topic on whitespot in the fish emergency section which will tell you all you need to know about it but I tend to find that Interpet no.6 whitespot works...

    Whitespot

You need to keep the heater on they are tropical fish and need warm water to live. Just follow the instructions of your whitespot treatment, it will tell you when you can next do a water change, try not to meddle too much with the tank and let the medication do it's thing.

Fmale Guppy Ripped Open At The Front Of The Chest.

Can't Shake The White Spot And Now There Is Signs Of Fin Rot Break

How far into the treatment are you with the whitespot? It depends on the medicine whether or not you can treat the tank with multiple treatments you need to read the instructions.

    Poorly Cory !

I dont know if wilder means an internal or exteral bacterial infection or whether it would be an good idea to treat the tank with some anti bacterial meds just incase anyother fish become infected.

    Dead Cichild And Eggs

This has me flumoxed I do not know how breeding affects fish negatively. In my experience an open mouthed dead fish means it was deprived of oxygen before death or a parasitic infection but that isn't necesarilly the case in your instance. Is the tank well oxygenated? Wilder will be around...

    Poorly Cory !

What type of substrate do you have? Whta other fish do you have i the tank? What is the size of the tank? How long has the tank been established for? Is the affected fish showing any sign of illness except for the ones you have described? Is he paler? Darker? Is he eating? Are his barbels...

    White Spot

remember that whitespot has a life cycle so just because the spots are gone it does not mean the white spot has been eradicated from that water. Keep the whitepot treatment going according to the instructions. Goodluck!!

    Found Microscopic Snail In Tank!

Probably just your bog standard pest snail, most tanks have them they wont grow that large and will eat any rotting food/ plants so help keep the tank clean to a certain extent. They breed asexually i believe so 1 will become tens in a week or so. Snails are a good indicator of overfeeding in...

    Powder Blue Gourami

    Clown Loach

What do the white marks look like? are they fluffy? slimey looking? how large are they? Treat the tank for whitespot first as the parasite will affect and kill your other fish. Remember that clown loaches are scaleless fish so may need a half dose of whitespot treatment depending on which one...
