To my surprise i found a 36 US gallon tank today. When i first saw it i was sure it was going to be broken, or something, but upon closer inspection it seemed fine. I took it home and placed it in my driveway to fill it up and test for leaks.... it's now been filled to the rim for 12 hours...

I'm missing 4 neon tetra's, maybe they ran off with your Serpae?!?! :D I have no idea where mine could be, i've looked and looked, and i can't find them anywhere. My tank is "jump" free because of a past jumper, so that's not a worry this time. :unsure: :crazy:

Well i'm glad he's just lazy. lol He makes it very hard to feed him... i use a turkey baster (sp?) to get the food right to him, but when he's up at the top it just floats right down and everyone else eats it. Whenever i catch him on the bottom i rush to get the food to feed him. :lol:

Just a bit of advice, maybe have the food portions pre measured (in little bags or tupperware) so that there is no over-feeding. :) Like it's been stated before, family members have a tendency to over-feed.

For the last few weeks my ADF just floats at the top of the tank. He goes down every now and then, but he's almost always just floating there. I don't think he's sick cause he still swims around the odd time. Does anybody have an idea why he/she might be doing this?

In the last 2 days, 4 of my 5 Platies have died and/or been killed. The only remaining Platies, is i beleive a male. Here's the kicker.... i have Platie fry in the tank. I knew that one of them was pregnant (or maybe more then one?!?!?), and i guess she had the babies and was killed/died like...

Thanks. :) That fish in the third picture (who's also in pictures 1 and 2) is a Baby Whale Mormyridae. I'll try to get some better pics of all the fish. There's around 30 fish in there, and i suck at taking pics of them. :S

I don't have much luck taking pics of my tank, but i'm sure one day i'll get the hang of it. In the meantime here are a few new pics that almost turned out lol.

I've actually been pretty surprised about the Walmarts in the Toronto area. The 2-3 stores that i've been in had crystal clear tanks, not over-stocked, and hardly any floaters.

My parents were away for a week and they brought me back 50+ shells for my tanks, and some coral they found on the beach. I boiled it all for about 3-4 hours so far... is that the right thing to do? If not, what can i do to make them safe for my fresh water tanks?

As far as i know, thye don't grow much larger then 1". I have no idea how long it takes them to reach adult size.

I want to get a few ADF's for my 55gal community tank, but as far as i've read, they like to escape. So, when i'm doing water changes are the ADF's going to try to escape? I want to be prepared for everything. :) So what should i know?

I just got a 55gal on Saturday. It's obviously not 100% set-up yet. I put my java ferns in it, and a pot. I'll be adding all my plants from my 29gal when it's finished cycling and the old fish move in. The green plants that are in the substrate are java fern, all of those grew off my big java...

I have 6 of them, and i love their colors. I'll post some pics later on.

I don't know what's going on here. One died a few days ago and i thought nothing of it, and now i found another one dead today. Below his mouth, and slightly behind is all red. I can post a picture if you want. Everyone else in my tank seems fine. Except i've been having trouble with a neon...

Upside-down Catfish! Everytime i've tried to keep one, it dies. I won't be trying that again. (on a side note, i like how they look)

I have don't have anywhere to put him. It's either he stays in the tank, or i'll have to kill him. So... i guess i'll have to "take him out".

I don't think it's NTD because he's not exhibiting any of the other symptoms, and more importantly, the symptoms that should have come before the fading are not present. It's confusing me; he's acting like the rest of them, but just faded.

Mine is doing perfect with tetras, danios, Rasboras, and 2 clown loaches. As long as you don't put another rainbow in there with it. Then can be aggressive, but mine isn't bad at all.

One of my 5 neon tetra's is losing alot of it's color, he hardly has any of the "red" left, and the top area is very faded. He seems perfectly fine other then the color issue. Any ideas why?

DROOL at the '65 Cobra. I'm going to own one of those one day!!! There was a place in Mississauga that made replicas, but i think they moved or closed down. :( I like the GT500 also, but the Shelby Cobra is #1 to me. :D
