I just got a 55gal on Saturday. It's obviously not 100% set-up yet. I put my java ferns in it, and a pot. I'll be adding all my plants from my 29gal when it's finished cycling and the old fish move in. The green plants that are in the substrate are java fern, all of those grew off my big java ferns that are located on the left side of the tank. I know alot of you are going to cringe because they're in the substrate, but the gravel is rather large, and they're not buried deep. The grey stringy stuff on the larger java ferns is the remnants of the roots or whatever they're called that grew the new ferns.

I was trying to get a pic of my Rasbora’s, they're not easy to snap. I was trying to show their orange color... you can see this one pretty clearly.

lol. I can't find any around me that isn't attached to some wood and being sold for 34.99. I would come and pick it up (I can always make a day of going to Toronto)
