Sounds like WAY too many fish in your tank at one time. If you didn't do a fishless cycle (which is reccomended for starters), you should have started with maybe two fish to establish your tank. I can't believe your LFS person gave you such bad advise! They sound like they would be awsome fish...

For some reason I usually start out with lots of babies but don't end up with more than a few that make it to adulthood. I would just try to raise them and see what happens, chances are you won't end up with that many in the end. Good Luck!!

I was thinking the same thing about the temp. unless you are fighting some sort of infection like ick or something you should not have the temp so high. (With ick you can raise the temp to make the parasite cycle go faster, but you shouldn't keep it as a high temp for that long.) I keep my tanks...

Couldn't cloudy water just be new tank syndrom? Is it green tinted cloudy water or just cloudy? If it is just cloudy it could be just new tank syndrom and will clear up in about a month or so on its own.
