But for now in a 55gallon tank, he can still obtain that size! but not as quickly, also he will be moved to a lager tank within a year so there are no problems...

Make sure you have 2 females and 1 male only or the single female will get killed... Also a tank size of more than 30 gallons is recommended for a breeding pair, however if a pair forms in the tank soon, remove the other convict from the tank and it should all be good... Aswell... you said brown...

Cane... many different sources out there... don't just check one I've checked several... 20" is usually the MAXIMUM size you will see a clown knife and their growth rate reall isn't that fast... I mean 10-12" in a year is more accurate... check this site...

not really... Clown knives get to 18" in captivity... you may be thinking of an AFRICAN clown knife which gets to 2ft+ even in captivity... two different speices of Clown knives... also you may be judging this on the size of ghost knives... they get like 2ft+ in captivity too...

Ya... I got my Midas and my first big oscar on the same day... your best bet (if you're going to get the midas too) would be to get the oscars at like 4-5" and the midas any size bellow them but not smaller than 2"... so say 3-4" and 4-5" oscars... also for the green terror, try to get him...

Everyone asks that lol... it's a common Pleco... and a 55 gallon tank... YES I KNOW common plecos get too large for this size tank... don't worry he's already 10-11" and I'm selling him to the store soon so I'll get one bristle nose pleco for this tank...

Red devils can get too aggressive for Oscars... green terrors can too... but red devils and green terrors are around the same agressivness... Still I had my oscars with a Midas and they were all fine :D

Ok so I've notice at both my favorite and LFS that Cardinal tetras are around $4 each! and Harlequins are about $3... So I've decided to go in a different direction from these guys to save some cash (I don't get paid till next week and my tank looks like crap empty, full cycled only got 1 pleco...

If you live in Canada, try Big als aquariums, they usually have them in along with many other species of odd balls like arowanas :D

Clearly he wants LARGE and AGRESSIVE fish like oscars... If I were you, I'd get say 2 Oscars, 1 Green terror (like you said) however I'd get a Midas Cichlid (better known as red devils except gold in color) and a Albino Channel Catfish...

Well... neons usually aren't that bad... my bet was it was your gouramis, the neons and harlequins more than likely annoyed them so they "had to get even with them" :P i'll be getting a school of 20 Cardinal tetras and 20 Harlequin Rosbaras tomorrow so I'll let you know how they are "nippyness wise"

my corries only group with the same species... My 3 peppered are together and the 2 juliis are together too! I'm worried that once my peppered get bigger they'll over throw my juliis and hurt them :(

hmmm... Ottos are really sensitive... but a cleaner that WON'T eat the eggs... hard to say... your best bet would be to use your 10gallon as a breeding tank (only the breeding pair of rams in it nothing else) and wait for a breeding pair of rams to "show up", then move them to the 10 gallon tank...
