Aquarium update.... i have added 35kg of live rock, and a koralia 3, also a resun wavemaker pics to follow

The open topped one is the overflow, and the other is the return, the drain is just like a plug hole on the bottom of the tank with no pipe at all

At what height should the halide be from the top of the water? is there a set rule? i have a 150w 20.000 halide bulb

Aquarium update i have added the water (RO) and added the salt, i have run it for 36 hours and the temps are stable and the salinity is stable at 1.024 so i have now added the live sand (caribsea live sand #00790) i am buying 20kg of live rock on monday

Hello you need a refractometer they cost about £40 i had yo buy one yesterday, i also have a instant ocean hydrometer, and mine is the same, the hydrometer is 1.022 and the refractometer is at 1.024 i trust the refractometer. to your question, how long has the salt been in the tank?

Hi, yes the tank does have some bracing, the tank is made of 10mm plate glass, and it has bracing front to back at these points, left and right side edge front to back and on the side glass, then 2 braces front to back at equal spacing along the tank... it is a well made tank, hope this helps
