So since shes waiting on the male to fertilize it I guess its a bad idea to move her into her own tank? How do I know if the eggs have been fertilized or not. Should I just leave her B?

Anyone got some good links for this? Im having trouble finding any info on how shes going to react to her young (i.e. take care of them, eat them, etc.) I also need to know what to feed the fry. Im thinking finely crushed flakes.

Yeah I figured something like that may happen. What would be the best way to move her? Or should I just leave her in there? There are about 10 othr Africans in there with her. Will they pose a threat?

I have a 20 gallon tank that was given to me, and I plan on turning it into a breeder tank of some sort. I want to breed a fish that grows fast, and reproduces often so that I can use the fry to feed my cichlids and rope fish. How should I set this up, and what species do you reccommend using?

Its kind of a hazy grey colored film. Its relatively thin, but seems to want to hold bubbles on top of it. Im running 2-Penguin 330 power filters with no extra media in them so far. Should I try some charcoal? I have been feeding them the usualy Cichlid pellets, which have never done this...

Yeah UGFs arent good. I was constantly battling with ammoniaand nitrate levels and I finally pinpointed it to the crap under my UGF bed. I had to move the fish and completely re-do the tank without the UGF this time :rolleyes:

One time I read an article about a girl swimming when one of those needle fish got scared or was hunting or something, and jumped out of the water and got stuck in her neck. Actually I think it was on Real TV or something. Pretty sick :sick:

These Cichlids are africans and are pretty small. I think the biggest one is a Bumble Bee and hes only 3". My tank is heavily planted with lots of rocks. Will that make any difference?

Yeah, just wait until they get older :lol: I have a Pineapple sword tail with my South Africans right now. Theyve been doing great so far, but im pretty sure hes toast once the Cichlids get a little bit older.

Since I dont have a bottom feeder in there, and I have planty of plants and hiding places, I was thinking of getting a Blue Crayfish for my 55 Cichlid tank. Would they just kill it, or vice versa? Also, would it kill the snails?

Man...how did you get a digital camera to take such good pictures? Mine is horrible and every time I take a picture of something moving, even if its ever so slightly, it comes out REALLY blurry. Maybe its just my camera?

I have some Blue Gouramis, Bala Sharks, Swordtails, and Khuli Loaches living with my 5 Barbs and they do just fine. Someone took a huge bite out of one of the Bala Shark's tail, but that was a month or so ago and it hasnt happened since. Im not even sure if it was the Barbs, it was a pretty big...

I have a shipment of snails that I got from Ebay coming in on Thursday or Friday. Thats all good and fine, but the problem is that its going to be about 40 degrees here. By the time I get home, the snails will have been sitting there for at least 3 hours. They would probably freeze to death...

Well, not really the whole thing, just the powerhead. Im pretty sure the entire thing is clogged. Plus my gravel is like 2" deep now because I had to add more to anchor the plants and driftwood. The powerhead keeps a pretty strong current going through the tank and blows food all over the place...
