 I've gone and done it again but atleast this way i'm getting my fish for free. One of my mates has decided to go and work abroad leaving me his fish (only 4) and I think they are all ' lake malawi's ' two of them are black with yellow tips on dorsal and anal fins and a yellow tail fin, the other is a blue colour with black vertcal stripes and a little whiteish spot on his anal fin, then the last one is sort of orange in colour with vertical stripes on it's body again it's got a spoy on it's anal fin it's got a blue over colour depending on which way the light catch's it oh and it's also got a blue top to it's dorsal fin. Any idea's as to what they are, they all seem to be quite peaceful and get on with each other and also the other fish in the tank, My red finned shark tried to have a go at them at first but was shown who is boss by the orange one and since then it's a peaceful tank :-(

Not sure about the others, but the blue one with black stripes is a Blue Zebra. I have 3 of those, and one of them is spawning.

Check this link, The black/Yellow fish may be a Bumble Bee (Common name)

Bumble Bee

If not browse around on that site they have alot of pics, Hope it helps

sounds like a yellow lab (yellow with black on fin), kenyi (females are blue with black vertical stripes and males are gold with brown vertical stripes) and an orange zebra.

blue zebras have very faint stripes even when displaying their colors.

Thanks for the replies sorry I haven't got back earlier
I don't think that the one who is blue with black stripes is a Zebra because He's not that blue He's more see through blue and looks the same as the orange one ( who is bigger ) the orange one also looks after the little blue one by chasing anything that goes neer him he even chases the black ones.
BUT I could be wrong but all the photo's I've seen they don't look the same as anything
