I'd test your tank for ammonia. By "cleaning" your filters, decor and such all at the same time I'm willing to bet you may have hurt the population of beneficial bacteria in your tank and caused an ammonia spike. Speaking from the experience of working in a pet shop.. many fish get "the spins"...

Is a 40 gallon "breeder" tank big enough for two fantail goldfish long term? Tank dimensions are 36"Wx16"Hx18"deep.

I don't own a lionfish but the LFS I work at carries them. When we get them in usually the first thing I do is feed them rosie minnows. I hate to give them that crap but at least it gets them eating something. Usually, within a week or so, with a little patience and persistance I get them...

Anyone ever use metal halide lights on a planted tank? I'm looking for something new for my moderately planted 40 breeder. Was thinking a 70 watt halide would work. I love the shimmer these lights produce on reef tanks and figured it would make a planted tank look even more natural. Opinions?

My python has been my number 1 fish keeping tool since I bought one a few years ago. They are absolutely the best piece of a equipment next to a reliable filter. And if you have well water that is free of chlorine/chloramines it makes the whole process even easier. :good:
