Corydora update!... He's been looking pretty for sorry for himself the last couple of days and had a red wound on his head, but today it seems to have healed and his top fin is no longer clamped. So i think it's now safe to say that he'll be fine :) Hooray :) I bought him some little Corydora...

Thanks for all your suggestions. We've had a look at the rock but the hole is quite deep in and it doesn't look easy to chip away at it without the risk of hurting him. We tried again putting him tail-first in the flow from the filter to see if the force of the water rushing past him will help...

Actually I made it myself! It took weeks of soaking, sawing, and gluing cork bark together. The sawing was extremely hard work and on a whole took much longer than expected. The end result is lovely but it is slowly curling back to it's original shape and coming unstuck at the edges :/...
