Free Aquacube ?!

Gutted I missed out on that. It was nearly worth subscribing for *lol*

Ahh well, methinks I'll leave it now, somehow a tub of food doesn't compare to a fish tank...
I think there may be more Aqua Cubes available soon so you could subscribe then. I'll get back to you on that.

Mine arrived this morning! :hyper: I thought it would be much longer before they were delivered. I've set it all up now & I'm thrilled with it! It's such a lovely tank  I can't wait to put shrimps & my Corys in it! :D The light that came with it is larger than I thought it looked in the photos, but it's still very nice, & the little fliter is so cute & will be easy to hide out of sight. It is a little noisy...it's making a strage droning sound like a robot lol, but it's not too bad considering it's size.

Recieved mine too this morning. Havnt filled it with water yet as im still pending on something else to happen before i set this up. Im running the filter in an already existing tank and im very impressed with it. Good circulation, lol it's still spitting out burts of air that have not escaped from the filter chamber. The light is good but i dont think ill be able to grow HC in it that well (will be injecting CO2).
Cant wait till i get my lil bumble bee shrimps :D

Bumble-bee shrimps were my plan too! Crystal Red was my initial thought but they are a tad expensive!

Aquascape plans are in my head, just need to find out if there are 'safe' twigs I can use.....

Safe twigs you say? You can use beech and oak twigs because they're safe. Just dry them out first. Im not sure how long for though. fishkillernomore used twigs so maybe sending a PM to her would prove useful.

I was thinking oak, will keep an eye out, cheers!

I'd like to get some different varieties of shrimps for my Aquacube, but I don't know much about them. I've only seen two varieties in my LFS, transparent (Amano?) shrimp they sell for fish food, and rather pricey red spotted ones...they were only a centimetre long and cost about £7 each. I was very tempted but wasn't sure if they were over-priced or not :/ If anyone has any recomendations or tips about shrimps it would really help me out with planning my new tank :)

what about buying the shrimp on line? from say aquaessentials.

shrimp start at £12.75 For 5 and go up to £19

they do Amano /Cherry/Blue/Tiger/Bee/Crystal Red Shrimp

and seem much cheaper than many local shops around my area. I.e Cherry shrimp are £4.10 each which is well over the £15 aquaessentials want for 5.

the only down side is it looks like you have to have 5 of the same sort which you may not wan to do.

Andrew:) (still waiting for his tank)

I'm glad that some of you have already had your tanks. I did say we were working really hard with Aquadistri to get them to you as quickly as possible.
I can't promise that we will do a tank offer again, we have learnt a lot of lessons doing this offer.

Mine arrived yesterday and i'm impressed with it so far. I have to say i was a little disappointed with the packaging inside the box, but that's no fault of pfk. A glass lid placed loosely in the bottom is a recipie for disaster if you ask me. I was lucky in that it only had a chipped corner. I was quite shocked that the glass was loose with the filter and light placed on top.

Stuart, both myself and my partner have e-mailed you asking if we are getting our tank... i'm sure you've been swamped but we've had no reply.

other's who ordered theres the same day as us (the 4th) have received them but there's no sign of ours. can you please let us know if we're going to receive one and when. thankyou :)

Mine had that same chip in the corner of the lid, not something worth sending back though!

Overall it is certainly not in the same class as the more expensive 'brands' of aquarium, though it will certainly suffice for my plans. Also not entirely convinced on the filter being capable of handling this aquarium with anywhere near full bio-load?!

Just a quick 'Thanks for the Tanks' to PFK. :good:

They did say they has been swampped by this offer and they couldn't promise getting the tanks delivered before christmas, so getting them before the end of Nov is a bonus. Obviously been working hard to get them out and also to answer all the 'will I get my tank' emails.

Awwww......go on, just once more. A matching pair would look great !

Mine was sent yesterday but i wasnt in, so i havnt got mine, need to check with the naighbough to see if they have it, i ruddy hope so, i had no notes through the door to say if it had been deliverd or not!!!

for co2 would this work well connected to a diy? i liked it coz it can be attached to the out side of the tank so it would save space in the small tankhere
