I was thinking of getting one of these guys. I ve done a bit of research... but a few things I didnt find out...how much room do they need out of water...and how much in water? And how deep should the water be...Also , in order to supplement their diet, what types of fruits etc would they eat...

its 25gal with a whole bunch of rocks, etc in it.

I was wondering about a crayfish i got about a week ago. He about 3-4 in long and he came from a stream near my sisters apt in colorado. We got a goldfish to put in (he is the sme length) are these a good mix? Or will one go after the other?

My ferret Nero. Died on monday June 12,2006. I got him along with a little lady ferret 4 1/2 years ago. She passed away in January. He got insulinoma but hung on all the way. He loved to play in the water and was doing so up to his very last day. He was the best little guy ever, but he's finaly...

Yep...they sure sleep alot. Not too stinky tho...Just when you smell em up close...yummy :X

Ok, I know he's not tropical, but this is my new goldfish, Godot. There's my sister's betta, Severus in the background.

So yeah... my sister and I are a bit of trekkies. She's the trill. The other is not me (think its her room mate?) Anyways...its kinda funny. (Would be funnier dressed up like a vulcan) :lol:

What about Triturus newt species? They're relatively small, and as juveniles will be entirely aquatic, while adults only require a small land area -- small "turtle docks" that float on top of the water work well. They prefer a heavily planted aquarium, and need to be kept with less aggressive...

We gor this new ferret Toby. (the smallishone) for Nero (the bigger one) He doesn't seem thrilled yet but hell get over it. Here's a little Baff Time pics

I have 3 platty fry in a 5 gal. tank (The only one that survived from over 100!). Anyways, they're healthy, and they're about 2mo old. The only thing is, they're only about a 1/4 in long? Is this normal for their age or do they seem small? :crazy:

So...I got this new betta. He is very healthy and happy but he has the wierdest betta coloration I have ever seen. His body is white, his fins are mostly whits with some blue and red spots and he has black eyes. Ill send a pic soon.

Just wondering...can you have an undergravel filter in a tank and still have live plants w/o the root systems being destroyed? :/

Ive had my betta...phish for about 5 mos now. :wub: I was gone for about a week though, and no one remebered to chanbe his water, so his tail fin was messed up a little by dragging on the rocks.. It seems to be getting a lot better.. Anyone think I should add any meds to his bowl? Thanks

I think platties and guppies like to be grouped together, maybe about 5 in a group? Platties and guppies though I think if you get a mix of male/female youre supposed to keep 2 females to each male so theyre not harassed all the time. I don't know 'bout danios, tho. Perhaps neons would be a good...

So my tank was completely green and I got some insert for my filter that removed phosphates, so now that's gone but it seems the hair algae has taken the opportunity to come in, now.... :sick:

Well, she's fine it seems...but apparently she was quite a handful for the vet. She's always been very feisty. The vet decided to do us a favor by cutting her nails, when we told him about the ordeal we go through ( two people and a lot of ferret treats). Being the sweetie pie she is, she's not...

One of my two ferrets, Saki had a small raised bump on her foot. Apparently, it was a form of skin tumor, but the vet says it's not serious. Anyways, tomorrow, she's spending the day at the vet to have it removed, then she should be home by night. :D Little man Nero is going to be alone all...

Well, I got the right lights for my mushroom coral which seems to be doing well. However, the lights promoted massive algae growth, so much that I can hardly see in the tank, but when the fish swim up they seem to be doing fine, and the shrimp seems okay, too. I was thinking of getting a snail...

No more than 5 legs. Im not sure its a sand sifter either. They just had some in the same tankk at my LFS and thats the only thing I figured it could be. Besides that, I don't know what it is.Its light brown all over, though. I couldn't find an ID for it anywhere.

Not all the lighting's in yet, I have to get the other light 2morrow, but here's so far...

I got a mushroom coral just recently, and on the live rock came a stowaway! A small sand sifting star about 0.5 in across. Very cute, will he do any damage?
