Hope you check back in on this one Jay, I have the same question...so, what about the breeder net in the tank will they get through the slots or the holes depending on the kind you use? and the ghost shrimp I have now eat regular flake food...can the babies (fry?) not eat that? Hey! I don't have a F8 puffer, but mine started doing the same thing, losing his bright colors, and swimming slanted, and even lethargic. I got the water tested and found the salt level way to low for him...I have been upping the salt a little at a time and he has come back to his normal...

I just found out from PUFFER CENTRAL that my new puffer is a brackish water fish. How much salt does that mean for me? I was told upon purchase that about 10 feeder minnows a week is about what their diet should consist of. I now see at PUFFER CENTRAL shells are a must for their teeth. But...

I want to turn my 75g into a Discus tank. Just to bolster what "Catfish are Cool" says, I read up a bit, too. Tall tank is good. You can house a single discus in a 10g! Bigger if you want tank mates, and lucky for you Cardinals are a prefered tank mate for Discus because they grow larger...

My 15g has sort of murky water. The water tests the same as my other two smaller tanks, except 15g has slightly high nitrates. Two major differences I can think of This tank gets 2 hours of direct morning sunlight. Tank has two undergravel filters, instead of the hang-on-back kind my others...

Wow! I don't know much, but I have that same love affair with the aggressive cichlids. That sounds like my problems with overstocking were mild. I still have trouble awaiting me with one JD and one female convict, they are alright for now...but, the convict is getting more and more...

Man, Sounds like a spectacular tank!!! But, the advice usually seems to stem around all the cool looking fish...angels, things with really bright colors, or decent size, can't usually go with well, uh, anything else interesting. But, Katchan, and JayJay have given me great advice before...
