Hey does anyone on here own sea monkeys? I just got some I read the little book it comes with four times and I don't see some instructions in there. like how often to feed them. and how do you get more food for them? (it comes with a tiny packet of food) if anyone knows anything or tips...

Did you just buy it (the sand) from you lfs? (I have had a hard time trying to find sand).

I had a African Dwarf frog. It is the type that lives with the fishes. IF that is the type you are talking about then, I just fed my fish and the frog ate the stuff that floated to the bottom. I actually saw him eating it too, he lived for about 18months until he got bullied to death.

Yeah, they really don't go together, a lot of books I have read show them (angelfish) as community fish, when really they are semi-aggressive.

Those barbs are usually peaceful in that big of a group, but watch out, because sometimes they go sour.

Sounds like you allready have a good idea of what you want. It also looks like you are going to have an aggressive tank. I personally like eels. :)

Cool, I will definetly look into it! Lots a people think it is nerdy, but fishkeeping is awesome! I have 2 20watt incandesent bulbs. I have looked for some flourecent(sp?), but have been unable to find any with that low of wattage. I almost never turn them on.

I also buried mine, and I didn't have a problem with it. The only thing that happened was that eventually the stone broke. I thought that was very strange, and since then I got an ordament(sp?) that releases air. :)

My neons also stay toward the bottom. So I guess that is normal.

I have another question regarding this: if you don't have any live plants then do you need to turn on the light at all? I don't usually turn it on at all.
