When I got my new boy Risteek, all of a sudden Rainbow, a fish who didn't care that hes a betta fish (never flared or built bubblenests) started acting like a betta fish, hehe.

If you are going to get the vase. Make sure you are feedint normally and cleaning the vase normally. And 1 gallon is to small for a betta. They need at least two gallons.

Very pretty :) btw you need to seperate the male and the female. Even if you are going to breed again. which I highly don't suggest. But if you are then they need at least a months break between each litter. And should only have 4-5 litters in her WHOLE life.

Bubble nests are made by male bettas. They make bubbles anf the float to the top and all stay together. This is for when they mate. The males will take the fertilzed eggs and put them in the bubble nest. My betta male Rainbow doesn't make them often at all.

no the coconut shelter things are very safe. Just make sure you get out allllll the coconut stuff out. But if you have dwarfs hamsters then I wouldn't use them because if the dwarf were to chew it then it could activate diabetes which they are extreamly prone to.
