Hi, i got 2 fire belly toads yday, i thought i had secured my light on very tight with no way to escape, but woke up this morning and only found 1 in there, so somehow he has escaped and is walking around my house right now... How can a toad push a secure lid up??

There is def something up, he isnt eating much at all, he is doing a headstand pretty much all the time and doing a very odd poo, its really stringy and just keeps going?! WOuld the fact that they are the first fish in my new tank have anything to do with it, all the levels are fine though

do yours have a problem with eating? both mine dont seem to be that hungary and when i put the bineshrimp in they dont eat it, it just floats around but in morning its gone, im guessing they must have had some.... what else do they like to eat?

I considered going for base rock to save some dosh although after reading all this i think its best for my future fish to use all LR. I am having the same trouble getting it due to limited amounts of it at my LFS, so im considering ordering it online- however the postage aint cheap, damn...

Is it usual for a clown to keep swimming up and never swimming down, he is sometimes almost in a vertical position and doesnt seem to be able to swim down?!

I got some live rock today, but the LFS didnt that that much of it, so ive only got abour 4kg in there at the mo, i will order some online in the next few days, i see there is lots of different live rock, what do you suggest, whats the difference between it all?! Pete

So you think i should just take the external filter out? if i did that would it be ok with just the juwel filter which IMO isnt the best! COuld i leave the external in there just to add flow to the tank? Does anybody know what the juwel filter gives out flow wise? just trying to work out the...

Tank - RIO 180 im just trying to remmeber the details as i only just got it all equipment Juwel filter, rena filstar xp2 external filter, ummm i cant remember the details of everything else, my memory is bad. I dont have a skimmer yet, can anybody reconmend one for my tank? Pete

Just got home to find that my honey has started to go black, i think its a male as it has a bubblenest near him and is very protective. But its started to go a very dark colour all over its body... Is this normal?

I got a Noble Gourami today, the LFS said they are a recent find... so i thought i would try one and add it to my 2 pearl gouramis, but it doesnt seem to do much, he just sits in the corners and watches the other fish, he doesnt eat the food, im not sure whats up with him. Has anybody else had...

Yeh it is a 96L tank, i was just planning on having a few discus in there, but as they are very expensive i dont want to risk them all dying, as it would be very pricey(plus it would be mean!) Im not sure what else to put in the tank, something bigger and nice to look at, i really wanted discus...

Ive had my swordtail fry for coming up a month now and they are still very small, one of my mollies had some fry about 5 days ago and they are already much bigger... is this usual??!

Well the sordi still looks pregnant, but there is about 30 fry, so i put her back in the tank yesterday morning, if she has anymore i dout they will survive in the main tank, but 30 is enough for me, god knows what i am going to do with them all if they live!!

YAY my first batch of fry! my sordie had been looking pregnant for ages but just didnt have them, so i got a breeding trap and woop, got about 20 babies in there now, i will add some pics 2moz when i can find the cam, for now its to sleep and hopefully the sordie will have more! WOOP WOOP :D

Well the female gourami died after the attack, but now the male seems alot better. The Anglefish will be returning to the lfs any minute and hopefully they will let me swap it for another female gourami! thanks for your help weaver!

turns out i just caught the anglefish attacking her, the anglefish has temp been removed and i will add her back later to see if she stops, if not, back to the lfs for her

Looking again, the female seems to have cloudy eye, how can this be fixed?

I have 2 Gouramis, 1 male 1 female, they both dont do alot at all, they barely eat and either stay at the top of the water or right at the bottom... The rest of the fish in the tank havent got any problems so something doesnt seem right?? Can anyone help?

i have possibly the most boring guppys ever! I got real plain ones as i thought my beta would attack them if they were snazzy, but seeing as my beta got eaten by my crabs(who are now out of the tank) i am going to go and get some nicer ones

He was being very odd, we thought he mite be an odd fella, he was quite big so it could be old age?? Im not sure Im still annoyed that you had your fish for 3 hours before 2 of the gave birth, and none of mine have yet and have had them for a while now!

Got home today to find my betta dead and half eaten inside of my castle, no idea how he died or what killed him, but the crabs lived in the castle, i think they killed him. RIP mr fighting fish

Is it usual for my dwarf gouramis not to eat that much, they dont eat asmuch as the fish in the tank and im a bit worried!
