Unless you are prepared to spend a lot of time and money discus are out of the matter! Discus require top of the range water quality and the water needs changed atleast once a week if not every other day! Also zebra plecs are very very expensive too!

Depending on the fish you want! if the fish you are getting require soft water you could get a reverse osmosis unit! this would remove most impurities out of the water and soften it at the same time! Some tetras love soft water e.g. cardinal and neon tetras!

You could add a shoal of about 6 young angels and let them grow out! this would cut down the "pecking order"!

You will have to do something about the siamese fighters! The male will kill the females to death and some of the other fish may nip at the males long fins! If you have to put any siamese fighters in, i would only put in one female!

One time in one of my lfs i saw a bent danio! it looked to have a bent spine!

Why not go for a "center-piece" fish, or two! A pair of severums would look great! Just worried about their size!

My male and female guppies are always chasing each other and I have 25 fry in another tank now! The guppies which had the fry, are my own home bred guppies!! My guppies never stop!

Bettas and guppies do great together! I have no trouble with mine!
