hiya all ive just got rid of the last betta fry and have a empty fry and grow out tank so i think its time to start another spawn.
i have a copper gold halfmoon male and i wounder if it would be good to put a blue halfmoon doubletail female with him.
anyone have a clue of what the fry colour might come out as?
im realy after some copper baby but without a female i have no chance lol.
so do you think this would be a good match

just put the male and female into there tanks she is in a breeding trap and all is going well so far both are flaring at each other she has her good stripes showing.
hopefully nest building will take place soon.
just been put together today maybe he is a night builder lol
wish me luck :p

thanks hope i get some good colours i was told on another site i could get coppers, blue and copper with blue just hopeing i dont get any red wash as they also said

You can go and breed this pair for sure. The outcome offspring will be amazing since one is copper gold and one is blue. If the coppergold has double geno, you will get 50% doubletail babies too. :D
Before you breed them, don't rush and be patience. Makesure you put both betta side by side in their own container so they get used to see each other first. feed them good, and then breed them in a week time. Don't rush else you get nothing in the end. It is not easy to mixed and match especially they are different color betta. ;)

What site was it? I have a copper male that carries dt (actually has a fused tail), I was looking for a mate for him. I only found 1 site that mentioned copper genitics. It said you can only get copper in the spawn if both parents at least carry the copper gene. Anyone breed, and know for sure? THat would make it much easier for me to pick a mate for my male.
