Ok the tank is 48 by 18 by 18
It has two internal filters but i will be getting an external when i have time.
Its a planted tank with bogwood and contains:
5 meduim discus, biggest one about 4 inch
3 orange fin tetre
2 albino cories
3 siemise fighters, 1m 2f
1 hipo cat.

I did have more fish but i sold about 5.

I want to add more cories, say about 4 to 6, as they are reat cleaners and a dwarf cichlid, ram or cockoo pair.

Do you think that wuld be ok?

Or should i leave things as it is?

You will have to do something about the siamese fighters! The male will kill the females to death and some of the other fish may nip at the males long fins! If you have to put any siamese fighters in, i would only put in one female!

for sure you could probably get away with adding some more cories, however I would probably wait until you can upgrade the filters, that way the filters are inplace and ready for when you add the new fish.

i must have the most laid back male then he does not bother them at all!!
Plus he is to lazy to swim the length of the tank never mind chase any body!!

Since Cories as well as Apistos/Rams are bottom dwellers you may want to add them at different times. This way you can evaluate the activity in the lower region of your aquarium to ensure there is sufficient room/cover to serve your fish’s needs. Also keep in mind the fish’s adult size as I’m sure you will add them as juvis. Also adding them slowly over time allows your bio-filtration to develop with the growing numbers and will prevent or reduce the threat of ammonia or nitrIte spikes.

Also peek at Seb R’s thread regarding breeding Cockatoos. I’ve always heard that Cockatoos do best in harems and his experience seems to confirm that (at least that’s how I read it).
