thanks sam, it does look the best doesnt it. i didnt realise they dont always produce bubbles - id preffer it to have bubbles. when it says the canesters are disposable - do you know if you can fill them up aswell? ie they arent moulded to not open.

very nice jimbooo - what was that small leafed plant i remember you having a few months ago? was it baby tears? you said it pearled like mad - all i remmeber was it being quite short and had tiny leaves.

thanks everyone. i had it about 7 or 8 months ago - i managed to get 5 tabs of proper maracyn then. i think it came back as i had a collection of debris fora few days around the filter. there's very very little but i want to nip it in the bud. thanks for the replies, Simon

yeah they grow pretty fast, the one on the left here was taken from the one on the right... ... theres a nice tank in the small section of the AGA this year who has left them to grow flat like a carpet.

Hiya, Yeah thats right, just tear it into two, roll it around in your hands to make it round and it will do fine. You may find you have to roll them now and then so they keep their shape but yeah they are cool things Simon

Hi Zig, I change the CO2 every week - I get about 20 ppm but it keeps algae away, if it drops for a few days I soon get a bit coming onto the vallis leaves. Sorry what does POS mean? I find the filter pretty good realy, I've read they aren't powerful enough for the tank but I have no issues...

Your lfs could also test it for you for a few pence if take a sample, but it's better to be self sufficient and get a kit.

Hi, is it the Hagen Co2 system? On mine I have one bubble every 2 or 3 seconds which seems to do me fine. If you measure your KH and pH you can work out the Co2 content of your tank by using this table - aim to be somewhere in the green section. Simon

You'll be fine with riccia I bet- apparently the dwarf variety needs more light than the larger Flutains variety - mines dwarf and pearling like crazy. OohFeeshy - i cant stop my cabomba growing in low light either - i thought i may just be lucky so didnt mention it - do you know what variety...

I have around 1.3 wpg and have great success with dwarf riccia (floating and on the floor) and also vallis. You could try some of those?
