Hi Folks

I am new here, but I have been reading this forum for a few weeks. This is my 500Ltr fresh water tank (thought I would post a pic) The tank has only been set up 6 weeks but things are beding down well, most of the fish, plants (and indead 300ltrs of water) came from my last set up which was getting on for 12 years old!

As you can see I have no skill whatso ever when it comes to pictures but I have been reading up and hopefully things will improve:*)

Bo

I like your tank!! What fish do you have in there? all I see is angels and clown loaches.

The tank has

Angels, x 2
Clown loaches, x 2 (more coming soon)
Plecs (Various) x 4
Flying foxes, x 3
Gouramis (Various) x 5
Silver sharks x 2
Tiger Barbs x 4

All my tank mates seem to get on well (no problems) some are quite old.

Beautiful tank you have there  B) ! Keep up with the good work :D ! The only thing i'd add is that the tiger barbs would probably be happier in a slightly larger group, say 8, and the bala sharks would also probably appreiciate another buddy or too  .
Lovely healthy plants though, are you adding anything to aid their growth at all  ?

The sharks and the Barbs are both from larger groups where fish have been lost over time, as the tank settles I will add more to those that like others of there own species :) esp the clowns who have been with me for a while. I have lots of room so it should not be a problem, hopefully some new fish will be purchased this week.

The plants are another interest of mine, I have drooled over some of the tanks in the planted section of this forum, it has also given me a few ideas too :D

I am adding C02 (3 x Yeast systems) and liquid ferts to aid my plants, most are easy species like java fern, I am quite proud of the Cabomba which is growing very fast B)

Yes there is a rather large Rainbow in there too, I have given him/her a home as his/her last owners had lost interest in their tank (A few other fish have come to me this way ) I have not listed them all.

I have added 3 x Clown Loach (they seem to be making freinds with the other two) and a Gold Nugget plec (who looks awsome).

I will take some new photos soon - Happy New Year :D

Great tank there well done! The plant forum here is great too if you get stuck with anything. Certainly looks like your cabomba is doing well.

Can't wait to see some more pics

Are your angels aggressive to your other fish when they pair up and spawn? Awesome tank!!

Some new pics for you, Front (as requested) and from the other side :fish:

The angels are fine with all the other fish, they have been in there since they were tiny and have never been a problem

Bo :p

So they don't attack, nip, or chase the other fish when they breed, do you remove the eggs after they lay them so you don't have babys?

One more (sorry :*) ) this shows all the the tank and cabinet quite well.

As far as I am aware the angels don't seem to be a breeding pair (athough they like to spend all their time together  ) I have never noticed breeding behaviour  They are very peaceful with each other and the other fish.
