Do you mean playing in the outflow? My loaches love to do that. Or maybe there's snails in there. . .

My albino bristlenose was really shy at at first. He comes out in the mornings before the lights come on. I leave the lights off for a while to give him and my loaches a chance to feed and root around.

My albino bristlenose eats anything he can get hold of before my loaches get there :) . I should have called him Pop-eye as he loves his spinach!

Loaches eat snails but they're likely to want to eat your shrimps as well. If you could get hold of some, dwarf chain loaches may OK being so small, but then they'd only eat very small snails. And I think they're rare so may be difficult to find.

Of the fish I have, my albino bristlenose catfish called Spook is the best. I've had him for about year and he's grown a most impressive set of bristles. I would love to have a tank big enough for zebra plec.

A friend is setting up a marine tank. No fish in it yet, but he told me he went and bought a big rock and when he put it in his tank out popped a tiny crab and a shrimp! The only stowaways I've ever had are snails on plants!

Get some amano shrimps if you can. They definately eat hair algae, they don't add much to the bio-load of your tank and they're great fun to watch as well!

My albino BN really loves spinach, I put a few leaves in a clip, he hides upside-down under the biggest leaf and chomps away under the noses of my loaches who also go mad for spinach. So funny to watch.

Amano shrimp are great, our lfs actually sells them under the name 'algae-eating shrimp'. They're brilliant algae chompers, don't take up much space and entertaining to watch as well.
