Remove them from the pot, carefully remove the wool the roots are in and then plant it into your substrate. What plants is it, do you know? If not chuck up a Picture for I.D's :good:

Lol, I stretched some tights over the intake on my internal so I shouldn't have to fish them out of that. Definitely need more shrimp and possibly some snails in there, looks a bit silly with 3 little Cherry Shrimp in a 2 foot tank haha :unsure:

Thats understandable, I'll see what funds I have when your next lot are up. Think mine are having their shrimplets now, usually they are out in the open eating but they have both buried themselves into the moss on the rocks and haven't came out all day. Fingers crossed eh :lol:

Yeah I just finished off my 500ml bottle of it and my plants have been so much better since switching to it. Any experience with Plants Alive? Found some Staurogyne on there for around £3 but don't know what sort of sizes the "portions" are, are they sold in pots over on there too? :blink:

Yeah that's the plan just poor Paint skills lol. Gonna break up some rocks and put some more in and around the wood, will tie some of my small Java fern plantlets on and try to find some Narrow leaf stuff to put around the wood too. Any ideas how much Staurogyne I'll need? Cheers

That's where I'm hoping the Java Ferns will come into play, I was also toying with the idea of a select few stems. Something like Hygro Polysperma or similar?

I believe it's cheaper and has done wonders for my plants, weekly trimming on most things just so it doesn't get too overgrown :shout:

I use The Green Machines own brand liquid Co2 and Green High fertilizer from eBay, its around £5 and you mix the bag with 1 litre of water then I dose 5ml in my Rio 125's No problem, happy to help :good:

I had around 4 or 5 on each plant die off over a period of a few days, trimmed them back and its been around 3 weeks to a month since I trimmed it last and I don't have a brown leaf in sight and the plants doubled in size

A few of my Echinodoras leaves did die off but keeping it trimmed has made the 3 plants I got grow really well. They're huge and bright green now so should be fine if you just nip off and remove the dead rotting leaves. Also Vallis does sometimes have a little melt but I have never been able to...

Should still be fine, mine were up until dosing they just grow a little slower that's all. They will "melt" or die off when first introduced but it's perfectly normal and after they will grow back nice and strong then there's no stopping them lol :good:

I've got the Wendtii green and browns, Parva and Wendtii "green gecko" and they are flourishing in my low tech tank. Just using liquid carbon and Green High Fertilizer from eBay. Although its not necessary its really cheap and does help a huge amount!

I find Ludwigia repens, heteranthera zosterifolia, water sprite, java ferns, crypt wendtii, cabomba, elodea densa and hygrophila difformis all grow pretty fast for me. Im sure theres loads more around but thats what I've grown with really fast results. Hope this helps

I use sand in my planted tank and I've grown all sorts of stuff in it, what might help is adding a few root tabs at the base of the plants? I found that give my root feeders a good old kick up the butt and they are lush and green 4 months down the line. Might be a cheaper option than a whole...
