most probably not, because its such a slow grower compared to many plants they would out compete it, but if your worried about it just gather up all the little bits with a net squish em into a ball and attach em to the bogwood again.

just what ive read about the net on DIY c02 articles most of em say dont use check valves with metal in for some reason, use plastic ones i havent got a clue ;) but i suppose its to do with them seizing up or something like that?

make sure you use one without metal inside as it reacts badly with c02.

seriously test it against another nitrate test on your tapwater, it will give you a lot more of an idea of what your nitrate levels are, if all else fails then go to your LFS and get a free water test.

so yeah its a pretty new tank cyclin right now, im putting a small shoal of danios in there for sure but what other fish would you recommend that are nice and striking, like plecs corys tetras or anything like that.

yeah i have that problem, try testing your nitrates in your tank against the nitrates in your tap water and see if its lighter or darker, darker do a water change, lighter then dont bother ;)

those fish scare me lol i wouldnt touch one, ive done the stingrays at london aquarium thats about it.

well just been down to my LFS and got my water tested :) got a 85% out of 100 need to reduce ph a bit and keep on with the nitrite treatment :) problem solved.
