Question On Water Change/top-Up And Water Conditioner

why the difference in the amount added? I wouldn't think it would matter if the water came from a bucket or a hose? question 2 is similar to a water change except that I'm only topping up the tank because water evaporated. so the amount added isn't much.

Approximate Water Volume In My Tank

thanks oldman47. The 300L volume was calculated using inner dimensions with some centimeters deducted from the height because my tank has some braces on the 8cm mark (8cm from the top).

Approximate Water Volume In My Tank

I think the question is best asked using an example :) ------- The tank can hold 300Liter. If I add 20 liters of sand, I suppose I can add up to 280L water. right? I am assuming the water displaced by the plants/fish are negligible. And there are no rocks/wood in the tank. ------- thank you...

    Changing Water For Dummies

since this would be my first tank, I was thinking of making marks on the side of the tank to mark water levels. e.g. 10cm height = 100L, 20cm = 250L and so on. Also I would the same to my spare water tank (empty plastic container that has pre-conditioned water). Is this worthwhile or maybe I do...
