see thats the thing.. i've yet to see an egg clutch anywhere! i thought i mightve seen a small one at one time but it was just a little cluster of something on top of one of the leaves of my plants.. which was submerged. and i was under the impression that they were laid at the top of the water...

thats what i was thinking ( the no female attention ) but i have bubbles going up the back of my tank wall.. plenty of foliage and hiding spots ... i dunno. i feel bad for him, but it seems like they're leaving him alone now..

i have 9 male guppies in my 10 gallon tank.. two of which i just recently added. One of the two has gotten his tail nipped at pretty badly, but i have yet to catch them nipping at him. He isn't really acting weird.. still swimming around the whole tank.. still eating fine.. just nipped up...

i got a golden mystery snail, just one, in hopes that it would be the only one. and tonight, ive noticed several babies. .. a local pet store said they would take the ones i don't want.. but could it get outta hand? lol :)

have your bucket down below your tank with your hose in it.. submerge the vacuum end and fill it with water.. bring it back up and allow some water to drain down the tube into the bucket.. BUT CATCH THE WATER BY PINCHING THE HOSE BEFORE ALL THE WATER YOU FILLED IT UP WITH DRAINS INTO THE BUCKET...

today is the first day of tank IMPROVEMENT! i'm so excited! water is starting to clear up on its own! i think turning the light cycle down to 8 hrs really helped! makes me think that anything over 10 hrs is just to much! ( or maybe things change with a more established tank ..? )

yeah.. i know about that stuff.. i will resort to that eventually,if i have to.. but just clarifying the water doesn't necessarily fix the problem.

i just float the bag for about 15 - 20 min and then drain about half the water in the bag out into the sink .. thhhen i put in what i dumped out with my tank water and let em' hang out for a few minutes in that.. theeen i grab my little net, scoop em' out and put em' in my tank!

the product is more of a water conditioner than a ph stableizer.. thats just one of the xtra perks, along with ammonia control and dechlorinizing. not to mention that i only used this new product in 2 gallons of the 4 that i added .. the other two gallons i had set out over nite with my regular...

well, the reason why i decided to change the filter was because it was pumping really cloudy water into the tank. but today i did almost a 50 percent change and used my gravel vacuum really thoroughly.. i took out the one plant that i found to be not aquatic and got a mystery snail to help with...

thanks so much for the opinions! ended up taking them all into consideration and made a great compilation. i did a 40 percent change.. used the gravel vacuum ( which is amazing ) and everything is clearing up nicely! invested in a conditioner that had a lot more perks such as fixing the ph...
