We have a number of Canadians on here (Rummynose comes to mind immediately) but the majority of our members are from the UK and USA..... which is also why the forum is so quiet at this time of day.... (well it is 6h45am here in South Africa).... but most of the members are still sleeping.

Angels are relatively easy to keep and breed.... rearing the fry is more difficult... some parents will eat the fry, others not. You'll have to monitor closely to see and then decide to hatch the eggs seperately if it looks like the fry are threatened.... It is better to get established breeding...

Guppies are natural breeders..... all you need is 2 males and 6 females and plenty of hornwort floating plants.....Females will deliver fry (between 20 and 45) every 26/28 days.... the first batch will probably be eaten and you'll have 5 to 7 survivors... the 2nd batch will yield more survivors...

Yes!.... we are having them.... I started transferring all winners (January to December 2011) over to a Microsoft word document yesterday...... They should all be up and running by Sunday afternoon..... Voting will be for a full month and winners announced at the end of February 2012....

He really did make a big dent into my stocks, but since I have no market for the fish and can produce another 2,000 at a weeks' notice..... He was (kind've) welcome to them....(up to a point of course)..... I currently have some 1,500 fry in the fishroom which are ready to be transferred outside...

He's had his fair share of easy fish.... just about 1,000m from my house there are about 7 dams with lots of natural nutrition for him to feast on.... less decorated though, (reds and pinks) but still taste the same... and slightly more difficult to get at..... Let him earn his keep...
