They require pretty bright lighting and will brown up and die if they don't get it. They also need higher flow on them and if they don't get it they tend to accumulate other forms of algae on their surface which can cause the browning and die off. What generally happens in these cases is not the forum itself but some piece of content brought into the forum. A link to an image usually is the culprit.  We have that twice that I can remember. Once was from an ad and the other time was from an image a member linked to in a post.  Fortunately...

Well if it's related to cookies you could try clearing your cash of all cookies and seeing if that takes care of the problem for you.

I will run a scan on the form just in case. We just patched the forum with the latest software version which included a security patch. So we are up to date in that regard. However, it never hurts to triple check things. Thanks for reporting this.

I have not been able to reproduce it. I created a search on Google and Bing that I knew would bring me here and clicked the link and just went right here without issue.

There are currently no issues with this site on Google. I get no errors or warnings when accessing it via search results. Can you post a screen shot of what you see? The links would have been nice but it looks like they got edited out.

Yes, or Doctor Chew would suffice. Surely that someone has a name that is a curse word is a rare enough event that one can come up with an alternative. I could understand a complaint if the name was John and that was blocked but the name is a common curse in the English language.

I feel this is really a personal choice. I like less aggressive fish and like the variety I get having a community. I'm also a fan of smaller fish, especially nano fish, so for me that keeps me away from keeping cichlids again.    What are your needs when it comes to the hobby?

If it's really from the 1930's I imagine it's quite a rare piece. I'm not sure how many of these were ever made. Fishkeeping was a rich man's hobby back then, or a scientist's. 

As I look more at it what I think I would like is a stand made of the same design. If this were a stand that I could sit an aquarium on top of, that would be cool.

I can honestly say I consider all suggestions. Not all of them get done but actually quite a few of them do. In this case laziness prevailed as it was an easy fix. ;)
