I think he sounds as though he's be fine on his own or maybe with some smaller tank mates? I dont know much about cold water/ gold fish set ups so im not sure what other fish you could have in there? But that would solve the company issue :)

Ooo glad you like it. I was tempted by it when I got mine but I have low shelves so it wouldst fit :/. Maybe of you were willing to pay for one, you should get a custom made stand?. My lfs do them made to measure on all different woods and everything, but maybe somewhere near you or online does?

Personally not a fan of the cube shape so much, but I think its just the black strips that puts me off on the corners. I think it distorts the view a bit. :/ if want want a larger volume how about the aquaone 620t. It's similar to the 620t but taller so its also got a bigger literage. :D

Thanks guys. They had previously been in a large tank with another pair if rams, maybe that stopped them pairing up. They've been on their own together for about 2 weeks now I think.

Nice bolivian. I never seem to see those stocked in any of my lfs. Shame as as much as i love my rams, the bolivians are meant to be a bit more hardy. Thanks :) unfortunately those two passed away from a nasty bacterial problem that seemed impossible to treat :( this is my new golden ones...

I had a spawning pair of rams with 8 corys and they were fine.

I have had some problems with my tank, but once they are settled down, do you think it's worth adding perhaps 2 more golden rams, so they can pair up themselves then taking to ones that have not paired up back to my lfs?

I have an aqua one 620 (90l) that has this exact set up and i have had no problems thus far. I actually find it quite handy as all the individual parts to the filter have item codes and are fully replacable from either your lfs of the aqaua one site i beleive. :) Hope this helps. I have had a lot of problems since changing tanks a month ago. Touchwood it is now settling down, just completing a final course of Myxazin treatment. Can I do a water change while treating? Or Is it best to wait for the course to finish??

Hmmm, perhaps turn the tank lights off and rejig the tanks ornaments and plants then turn the lights back on. This will remove any territories ect.

Got 2 new Rams, but unsure of their sex? Any Ideas? The Larger one is the most colourful and seems to chase the smaller one quite alot. Also flares up/ displays its fins at the other and swims backwards into it?? the smaller one also does this back sometimes? unsure if they are a male and female...

Similar thing happened with mine. Unfortunately they both died though, changed tanks recently and I believe there was a nasty bacterial problem :(. I think the females just get 'hormonal' lol. When she turns pink bellied again and is ready to spawn they might be more paired up again.

Wow lost yet another today! Same as the male ram. Gasping at surface. But this showed neither symptoms?! What's going on?

No it didn't . He was just gasping at the surface and seemed very chilled. In a bad way. I that he visually fell into the net when I moved him to the treatment tank. All very odd really.

UPDATE: Rocky (male) is now also dead
