Well this is relating to here: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/388191-fungus-or-whitespot-photos-included-update/

Found my female gbr dead this morning. She had had strange white spots in her head which I had been treating with protozin and said for two weeks and seemed to be improving. Yesterday though she had a second one which had kinda caused her eye to bulge a bit, and today she's dead. I feel like a should've changed treatments to myaxin :'(. Although by the look of them they looked like wounds, and they seemed to drastically improve when I added salt. I will add a picture of her soon.
Her paired make also had white cloudy patches on his side but those have healed and now he seems in good health. Will he ever pair up again if I added another female? :( they were the first fish I've ever had that spawned.

Today I am going to put my carbon back into the filter and do a good water change, I think I may also rearrange the tank a bit too just to start a fresh. Is there anything else I should do? :(

Sorry to hear that. I guess just keep a close eye on all the others.

The male ram and another fish are both flicking in the gravel and showing red spots. I'm thinking of treating with myxazin but I treated the protozin last on Friday. The carbon has been back in the tank now though so would it be ok to use?

What does the manufacturer say? It's an antibiotic with methylene blue in it. Watch your biofilter when using it, it could cause some harm to it.

I would tend to think that flashing is usually from parasites, but if they seem to be specifically rubbing the gill area then it could be from bacteria or fungus irritating the gills as well. Prime seemed to think that you had costia (ichthyobodo) which is a tenacious parasite. Did you complete the whole protizin treatment plan?

Yeah I completed the treatment plan twice. I put the male ram in a floating treatment tank with a single drop of myxazin overnight as he was also gasping at the surface. this morning he is crashed at the bottom and only swims when the shrimps try and eat him. so I've cleaned the treatment tank and put him back in there today so hes safe.

No it didn't . He was just gasping at the surface and seemed very chilled. In a bad way. I that he visually fell into the net when I moved him to the treatment tank. All very odd really.

Wow lost yet another today! Same as the male ram. Gasping at surface. But this showed neither symptoms?! What's going on?

I'll I can suggest is that you try to put your feelings aside and examine the dead fish. If it has flukes, you will see them with a magnifying glass. If it has some kind of bacterial gill disease or invisible parasites, you should still be able to see damage to the gills. If the gills look fine, then perhaps it's some kind of internal parasite.

Unfortunately they've already been flushed down the fishy funeral :/
