Store testing isn't accurate at all. Look into an API Master Test Kit. And DG's are very prone to getting diseases, so I would look into another master piece.
If you just added three why did you add 7 more the next day?! You have to wait a week before adding more so the filter can adjust. Add four at a time. Then wait a week and add four more.
Any photos? My question is why do you keep on adding the same fish over and over again when it is dying? That is my question. Not meaning to sound rude, but obviously a DG isn't working out.
Not going to repeat what the others have said but you should maybe look into removing the tiger barbs and adding more tetras as they do best in numbers.
You just said you put them in an 18 gallon...? A 20 long is completely different than in 18 gallon. The dimensions are completely different. And @NickAu is right.
That really isn't ok. The "containers" can easily break which means you will fall on the beta and likely kill it. Thailand has completely different rules then from what the US has.
You just have to find a beta that doesn't try to attack their inmates. A Female is easier to put in a community. I used to have a sorority but I wouldn't recommend that as they are A LOT of work, time, and energy.
Lots of people are putting low temptered male betas(1) in with peaceful community fish. Now they are doing two males which is stupid, but that is my opinion.
How many gallons? What kind of beta? If you want a community with betas you need at least a 10 gallon. 20 gallon imo is way better. You could do ember tetras, chili rasboras, cardinal tetras, etc.
Though if you aren't a beta breeder you shouldn't put your fish in a alcohol bottle. Your beta should be put in an 2.5 gallon tank minimum. If you have a king beta then a 10 gallon is minimum.
Yup agree. If you send a pic we could try to estimate the age but it's really just a guess at this point. How long have you had him from the time you got him?
That is a male. Also I used to have one female in my 60 gallon. She was full of eggs but waiting for a male. She was always guarding and nipping at the others, so I moved her to her own tank with a male. Easiest thing to do. They are great community dish until you put a pair together.
Hahahaha I know you do. I know you have been wanting them for a while. Just been waiting. Let's hope they survive. My third batch of bristle nose plecos are here! The male did a great job until he left them which then I had to save them they LOVE the zuchhiu so much. Fat belly's. And I will...
Hello! :) have you cycled your tank yet? What kind of fish? Some fish are more sensitive to water parameters than others. Otos are one of those sensitive fish.
And why were you searching for me! Stalker! Haha no jk. But doubledutch wad the first one to reach out to me. Well technically it was jdhef, but he has just been busy lately.
