I want to verify age of crowntail, veiltail and halfmoon.

You can't tell how old a fish is by looking at it because there are too many factors that influence growth.

If a fish is not fed well when young it will grow slower than fish that are fed well.
If a fish is kept in poor water quality it will not grow as fast.
If a fish is kept in cool water it will grow slower.
If a fish gets a disease it will not grow as fast.
If a fish is mutated/ fancy variety, it will not grow as fast.

As a general rule, Bettas sold at petshops are between 6 & 12 months old. However, the only way to know for certain, is to contact the breeder and find out what day the eggs hatched.

That

Yup agree. If you send a pic we could try to estimate the age but it's really just a guess at this point. How long have you had him from the time you got him?

I would say a year and half at the most. He looks very young. You can tell when they get older as their fins get rougher/grayish.
Its just confusing me because some told me 6-7 month, some told me 3-4 month

The only way to tell the age of most adult fish for sure is to count rings in one of the small bones of the head. This requires an autopsy (obviously) in addition to a microscope with most species

I will let you guess which is the 6 month old and which is the 3 month old Betta

Crown tail betta 6 months and 3 months old
