I think this Danio's needs a 4ft thing is silly, yes I agree their active but come on so are tetras and Rasboras, they would love a 4ft tank so why with Danios its a must to have 4ft of space and Rasboras don't? Most fish are very active, Neons are very fast, why is their minimum tank size 10...

Nice! As for stocking, no the fighters cannot be together, even though the tank is big I still would not risk it. Guppies and fighters are not normal compatible, especially fancy ones. I would go for a sorority of female bettas if you really want bettas. Shark will nip the bettas so choose one...

Another rant - Got suspended from work for my own fault, yesterday I had the morning shift and went to bed late, had to get up at 5. Some guy at work tried to start a fight, I was not in the best of moods, he got decked in the face. Got suspended for a 2 weeks. Glad they never called the police. .

Thats a bit far for me, I may have to get my lfs to order me in some. The severums are really nice but Im just worried about them with the oscar. I wanted to do a tank like mats, an oscar, 2 other cichlids, some catfish and a couple of oddballs. The jewels in a 20g right now for causing trouble.

I think they would shoal together just to feel safe but they wouldn't be as happy as they would if they were in with their own kind.

Well the oscar is 5 inch and is a big fat kitten, the Severums are large adults. I've got another tank for the convicts, think I might pick the sevs up tomorrow if I get a chance :D
