I was in my LFS the other day and they had a 2 oscars in a 55 gallon tank, kind of a weird tall hexagon bowfront tank, they were 12 inches a piece, the guy said they were adults. I also went to my other lfs who has a giant 8 foot display tank, it had 5 oscars in it and they were huge! At least...

I was speaking to someone on another forum and they said most Oscars who are put in a 55 Gallon tank 4ft, only reach up to 12 inches, but Oscars who are put in a 100Gallon tank with the extra width and height, get to their proper size of 18 inches :S, Is this true?

My firemouths are very young around 2 - 3 inches and I just noticed two of my firemouths together digging a hole in the gravel together and staying together and chasing off the other fish, is this signs of pairing and starting to breed?

Okay 7 gallons, you could do as already said a dwarf gourami (although they will appreciate more space) and a school of rasboras or a school of neons and a couple male guppies.

I think you could add another 2 female mollys or add 1 male (depending if you want fry or not) You could easily have 3-4 platies in there.

I wouldn't put tiger barbs with corys and they will get nipped to death, corys also need to be in groups of 6 or more. 4 Firemouths could work but if they pair and start to breed then it will be WWI A Bristlenose plec or 2 could work.

I really think 35 litre is way to small for a dwarf gourami, they need at least 10 gallons, 35 litres doesn't provide that. Maybe some sparkling gourami's instead?

How are 100 litres to big for bettas?

A pair of Apistos? Maybe Shell Dwellers? The water won't help.
