Hi All, Please Help Me With The Choice Of Fish In My 200 Gal Tank

hi, thanks for reading my post, <br style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; ">last week sadly my clarias catfish of 7 years passed away, now i have a large 200 gallon tank that needs some fish, my wish list is 2 oscars (one red and one tiger) at 3 to 4 inch, a young fire eel, 2 firemouths at 3 to 4 inch 1or2 bichirs a couple of plecs and a large clown loach i have my eye on at my local shop.<br style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; ">please let me know your views on if you think this is to over stocked once the fish have grown and<br style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; ">how everything will get on together, all criticism and suggestions welcome. thankshandse Posts: 1Joined: Sun Jan 29, 2012 12:26 am

please let me know your views comments and criticism on the stocking level once the fish have grown, how they will get along together, and any other suitable tank mates, many thanks

aah right you're alreadty cycling! i'm not the best at chichlids so i'm afraid i cant really help you as far as the oscar and Co are concerned,..

Oscars are ok, but might want to eat any fish that are less than 6 cms tall, so I wouldn't take any small fish with them... Emerald cichlids are big and beautiful, too! And calm.

If you buy that big clown loach, I'd recommend you to buy few more clown loaches as soon as possible. They are lovely and strong fish, but need a pack, usually at least 6 of them. One clown usually gets depressed and may get ill from stressing out. They are really happy and playfull when kept in a pack, and it's lovely to watch them play together! <3

thanks iriiva, i was wandering about how he would be on his own i think i will be getting a few pals for him, and i do like the look of the emerald cichlid think i will do a bit of research on them.
