Sorry pal, forgot to answer lol. My main focus on producing is industrial hardcore, schranz, darkcore but lately been working on neurofunk dnb and whatever else tickles the fansty lol. ophidian would have to be my fav for hardcore scene lol.

Using a ex700 on a 90L planted that's doing perfect if that helps, 900lph powerhead in there too mind.

Yeh the gear is expensive, most has gone up alot in price too. Selling up most of my gear now, single mk5 and pair mk5g as i hardly mix too now too focused on producing.

Hose out the back door to drain the tank > dechlor the tank > connect hose to mixer tap in kitchen > fill tank up. I do 40-60% weekly. Buckets are prob faster to do the water change but obviously the lazy way is going to win :lol: Or try this CLICK ME

I normally use a mixer tap, try to keep the water as close to the tank temp as possible as cold water changes can encourage my GTs to breed. I'll do a few small cold water changes on the 55g and use kettle for the 20g. Got no central heating either at mo, might have to get into the tank myself...

My house took an arrow to the knee today and i've got no hot water so until it's sorted; Will kettle water be okay to use to warm up cold water for water changes or even the shower? The 55g will be a problem though, im guessing smaller cold water changes would be okay? Maybe a hose from next...

LOL, start of this topic got me out of one hell of a mood :good: I'd keep an eye on your pH when putting wood into a tank without soaking it as my 55g dropped from 7.6 to 6.5, was a slow drop over about 2weeks and water changes will stable it out. Well my end it did anyway.

+2, check out salvini too, they're nice fish but can be pretty aggressive. Only mention them because that's one of my dream fish some day. From what i read, 55g will house a breeding pair but that'd limit tank mates and i'd personally have a spare tank ready to split them up if worst comes to...

LOL, i got the screwcumber back in my 'always playing it safe' noob days. If i was to do it now, i'd prob just use a fork yeah. It's annoying as it is with people asking why there's cucumber and other stuff sitting in the tank, never mind why there's a fork in there too. :lol:

I only remove fish if it's going to be a complete re-scape of the tank. Edit; soybean beat me to it :grr: haha!

Hikari cichlid gold floats well, crush a few up to sink for my cory. That way i can slightly control what sinks and what doesn't.

Me too, although i went for the ex700 as the tank is only 20g. Now i want a ex1200 for my 55g :shifty:

Haha perfect thanks, was looking for my 20g too. Noticed they do a 200w-250w version too, you running the 300w? Would rather the 300w if safe though for upgrade room.

What about running these on smaller tanks?
