so i went walking to day to find some wood for my fish tank i found a really nice piece of wood i trimmed it to size and de barked and has been boiled the wood twice and i am leaving it to soak every time it went orange i changed the water now the water stays clear it isnt water logged but will it be ok to put in my fish tank now and just weigh it down with my rocks???

huh? i want to put it in which i will put it in the tank with my hand and weigh it down with stones??? or where you suggesting while i am water logging it hold it under the water?? if so then i put rocks on top so it is constantly under water just didnt know if i could hold it down in the aquarium with rocks

LOL, start of this topic got me out of one hell of a mood

I'd keep an eye on your pH when putting wood into a tank without soaking it as my 55g dropped from 7.6 to 6.5,
was a slow drop over about 2weeks and water changes will stable it out. Well my end it did anyway.

Ive seen it suggested to attach the wood to a piece of heavy slate. That would hold the wood down.
