Thanks for your suggestions. We do have some plans for changing the logo, the one there is only temporary. To add the dividers, it requires it to be manually done on each skin, would you be able to say which skins they do not appear on and I can work to add them. Finally regarding the IPB pics...

Please can you explain why you can't change back LetsBeFriends, as if there is a problem with the site we obviously want to try and sort it out!

Thanks for this FHM! We are working hard. We've fixed the search, which hopefully should also help with load times and page unavailable. If not then it's back to the drawing board, but we'll get it sorted in the meantime sorry for any inconvenience :)

The new software seems to be a little bit more intensive on the server, we're monitoring this and hope to find a solution soon. The trouble is that it is very sporadic! It seems to occur when the site is at its busiest.

All feedback on this is really good, please keep it coming. We will leave this skin as an option but anticipate changing the default to something more similar that we had before.

It depends on the software provider - Invision Board. They reckon the next upgrade will be out in Q3 2008, which must be imminent!

Short answer- we haven't upgraded the board, when we do the similar topics will be axed. The reason we haven't upgraded is that the upgrade is not out yet, hopefully it will be out soon.

Well we started about 20 minutes ago and are halfway there- database transferred, just need to move over the software files!

Server move coming up very shortly!! We hope to keep downtime to a minimum, but we will be 'off-air' whilst we transfer the information.

An interesting idea. I will flag this up to the salty mods and see what they reckon.

It is all technical, currently we have been having some stability problems with the site. Hopefully the move to a new server should improve this. There will be some visual changes to the board when Invisionboard 3 comes out, but they are not sure of the release date yet.

We will be moving server on Sunday so it is likely that there will be some downtime. We will try to keep this to a minimum, but be aware!

:lol: Fast reply came in an 'update' to the forum software, some time ago. It was turned off by default, I added it to a few forums as a trial and it has worked well. If you would be able to point out forums where it is missing I am happy to add it to them also.

Soaup is correct. In the past we have had a lot of people sign up just to promote their ebay links, the spam got quite tiresome!

Thanks for letting me know- we had a problem with the server yesterday, some of you may have noticed about midnight here in the UK the site wiped out. Fortunately I was able to get it back, but I will need to wait until business hours to contact the host and get them to resolve the search issues.

Well noticed- we are obviously very happy to make changes like these, and so if you notice any more please do flag them up!

We have had a lot of problems with people subscribing and then finding they get too many emails and listing the emails they get as spam, either because they can't be bothered or can't find out how to unsubscribe. Unfortunately it is only available as a setting for everyone to change the number...

I have changed the email address so that it is @fishforums.net but I think that it may be the server which the emails are coming from which has been blacklisted, due to people subscribing for topics and instead of removing them via the forums labelling them as spam.

We will be axing similar topics in the next board upgrade. Thank you for your comments everyone.

It was posted by 5teady a few posts before yours, the time is because he is based in America. I think the incorrect name must be something to do with the posts I removed messing up the quote system and so it picked up the wrong post. Could well be a bug with invisionboard.

I removed a couple of posts from this topic, I wonder if that could have broken the quoted name.

I'm just looking at this, and there seem to be very few US/Canada topics- perhaps I have overlooked them if you see any please let me know the link and I will move them.
