This may sound kind of off the wall, but is there anything the BPs may be mistaking for food just above the water line.....mine will sometimes go at the glass, near the lid, if something is hanging down for them to see. Just a suggestion, but definitley test the water too......some fish also...

My older BP is starting to become more territorial and aggressive with age. As with any large cichlid, but he does have a mouth deformity and therefore can do little to no harm :sad: :X From my experience, if you have blood parrots in with other aggressive fish they will fight to NO end...

What Frank Slappy says is true to some extent. There is no reason to think you couldn't definitley have a female and a male, none at all, but the chance that the male is fertile is very low.......sad but true :-( :/
